Arthur (Gustav Arthur) Cooper (1902-2000) and his wife Josephine Cooper presented here at work in his office in the Division of Invertebrate Paleontology, United States National Museum, now the National Museum of Natural History in June 1954. Specimens of fossil brachiopods can be seen on the desktop as well, where his wife works at the window. Josephine, who was not at the Smithsonian&#8217;s payroll, trained in geology and supports her husband in collecting and identifying samples. They also have most of the department of invertebrate paleontology in Russian translation. Josephine Cooper was also a founding member of the Women&#8217;s Committee of the Smithsonian, a fundraising organization <b> Creator / Photographer </b>. Wuichet John Weller was born in Dayton, Ohio in 1887. He graduated from Steele High School and then studied at the College of Agriculture at Ohio State University, where he was far from his brothers that Kappa Sigma &#8220;Pat&#8221; known. Wuichet married Ruth Pierce, a graduate of Ohio State in 1909. The couple made a number of years on a small farm in western Ohio, where she resided collected Hampshire swine flu. There they had two children, John Jr. and Lois Jeannette. The Wuichets returned to Columbus in 1915, when John Wuichet took a job in the department of animal husbandry at Ohio State. Wuichet The family was very active in the social life of Upper Arlington. Wuichet Ruth was a member of the Club of Upper Arlington Norwest. John Wuichet first President of the High Board of Education was Arlington. As a school board member, he was one of the organizers of the first meeting of the Community Upper Arlington, where he gave a lecture on the status and future plans of Arlington school level. In 1919, Wuichet &#8220;social chairman&#8221; of the Village Board, who began to organize winter recreation for the village of Upper Arlington named. A high school gymnast, remained active as an adult John Wuichet, and he enjoyed tennis, baseball, and conduct in his spare time. The family lived at 1775 Bedford Highway Wuichet. The residence was later purchased by Orville Johnson. In 1976, John W. Wuichet, Jr. as Vice-President of the Upper Arlington Historical Society elected. <b> Description </b>: Thomas Smillie was the Smithsonian first photographer and curator of photography, began his career at the College in the 1870s. In 1913 he mounted an exhibition on the history of photography at the Art and Industries Building Smithsonian, many remarkable progress in the field show that he feared had been forgotten or ignored. <b> Creator / Photographer </b> Thomas SmillieGeburtsdatum: Date 1843Death: 1917Geboren in Edinburgh, Scotland, in 1843, Thomas William Smillie immigrated to the United States with his family when he was five. After studying chemistry and medicine at Georgetown University, he took a job as a photographer at the Smithsonian Institution, where he remained for nearly 50 years until his death in 1917. Smillie features and performance at the Smithsonian were wide: he documented important events and study trips, photographed the museum&#8217;s installations and specimens, created reproductions for use as printing illustrations, performed experiments Chemical Smithsonian scientific researchers, and later served as director and curator of the photo lab. Smillie documentation of each Smithsonian exhibition and installation resulted in an unofficial record of the entire institution of art and artifacts.
